About the Program

Early Childhood Educators are instrumental in laying the foundation for success of learning throughout High School, College or university. Consider a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. You will learn to plan, implement and manage programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements. Legislation now requires most educators in the early childhood services industry to either hold or be working towards a Diploma level qualification.

Entry Requirements

Entry into this qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.


It is preferred that a student has obtained a minimum of an Australian Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent. Students are required to pass a Working with Children/ Vulnerable People Check (including Police Clearance) in the state or territory that they are working in prior to commencing work placement.

Training delivery

This course can be conducted online, blended, work-based or in the classroom. Training is delivered through our Registered Training Organisation: Alpine Training Pty Ltd RTO ID 41511. 

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a: Nationally recognised Certificate & Transcript or Statement of Attainment (if found competent in at least 1 Unit of Competency.

Course Structure

To successfully complete this qualification, you require 15 units of competency. These 15 units are comprised of 12 core units and 3 elective units. The units of competency shown below have been selected by Alpine Training based on the course purpose.
